Yahoo India SMS Backup

We launched a new mobile service - Yahoo India SMS Backup (it is about a month already).

The product provides mobile users an option to store their important (not necessarily!) messages online and it neatly integrates with the popular Yahoo Mail application. Users gets near unlimited SMS storage and device independence. They just need to register their mobile phone with their yahoo id and forward messages to a yahoo SMS Backup short code (82438243), messages are automatically stored in a separate folder called SMS Backup in their mail box. You can try the product at http://in.mobile.yahoo.com/smsbackup.html

Will be interesting to see what kind of adoption it will have?

thanks for the link...

if properly advertised i guess this would be a hit, as many users have yahoo email ids, doesn't have a way to store their sms messages from simcards, and would appreciate it, once understood properly and have a gprs connection!

imho, a good way for y! too, to catch the mobile eye balls!

Siby, Yes, Agree with you! Many users have liked the service and continue to use it.

The only issue is pricing and it is difficult to convince operators to adopt a flat pricing model.
